one time while eating in a student dining hall i saw a sign which read“be dis-infected”.following sars，many chinese restaurants put up signs letting customers know that it was safe to eat at their estab- lishment and that the restaurant had been vdisinfected.however, by not mentioning the“cups”or“cutlery”，the only interpreta-tion is that the customer must be disinfected. the sign should have read“cups and cut-lery are already disinfected.”
一次在一个学生食堂里吃饭时我看到一个牌子上面写着“be disinfected”。sars过后，中国很多餐馆都竖起了牌子好让消费者知道在他们的餐馆里吃饭是安全的，餐馆已经消过毒。然而因为没有提到杯子和餐具，“be disinfected”唯一的解释是顾客必须消毒。牌一子上应该写“cups and cutlery are already dis-infected.”
