Missing
True story
Many times I've heard Chinese people say the following:"I'm so unlucky; my bike is missing." At first I would say, "Try to remember where you put it?" But of course.their bicycle wasn't "missing";instead what they meant was"it was stolen".

In Chinese we actually say“丢车”which literally means "lost" my bike/car.But this is not actually accurate when we want to express the same idea in English. To express the idea of“丢东西”we must say,“…was stolen."
