名人教英文：香肠人、烟肉人？
两周前曾讨论的buff，基本上就是个amateurish professional（业余的专家），或professional amateur（专业的业余爱好者），都是对某一范畴属「有料到」的人。也即是说，叫人做 buff或自称 buff，会稍为「隆重」了点。纯粹要表达热不热中、喜不喜欢一样事物，可改用 type或person。
type，类型，日常用来讲人，多指性格︰
he's the calculating type.
他是攻心计的类型。
she's the eager-to-teach type.
她属好为人师（弹）、喜欢教人（赞）的类型。
当然还有无数其他性格款式，像the helpful type，乐于助人的；the unpleasant type，不讨人喜欢的。但说到喜好，就不用形容词了，改用事物的名称放在type字前面。
my mother is not the jewellery type.
家母并非喜欢买或戴珠宝的一类人。
the socialite is naturally the throw-a-dinner-party type.
那个社交名媛自然是常常请客吃饭的一类人。
his friend is not the jogger type. 他的朋友不是爱跑步的一类人。
顺带一提，在追求、拍拖的过程中，最令人伤心的一句话，也许就是听到对方一句︰you are not my type，「你不是我（喜欢）的类型」。不过不必气馁，不要就此放弃，尽管不是对方的type，但凡事持之以恒，说不定你最终就是真命天子 ——the one﹗
type说的「人款」比较大围，如果要讲的是个人口味，就多用person。
i'm not a sausage person.
我不很喜欢香肠。译做广东话︰我唔系「香肠人」！跟着就会有人问，
then you are a bacon person?
那你是烟肉人？
i'm not a morning person.
我不是「早上人」。即不惯早起办事。
i understand he's never been a car person.
据我的理解，他从不热爱车。
这个他，若是他们，是不是person就改做persons？文法上可以，但多数人改说people︰
they are all car people. 他们都钟意车。
he loves the company of wine people.
他喜欢跟爱酒一派一起。
