janine: not right after, but a bit later. i could see she was in a really bad mood.
雅尼纳﹕比赛刚完结之后没有，稍后却有，看得出她心情很差。
mary: she was a lot worse when the results were announced. she had a hissy fit when she learned that she and her partner hadn't won.
玛丽﹕比赛结果宣布时，她表现还恶劣得多。听到自己和舞伴没有得奖，她就大发脾气。
janine: i'm not surprised. she never likes losing and she always blames somebody else.
雅尼纳﹕这不奇怪。她从来不甘心落败，总是怪责别人。
mary: yes, she kicked her partner in the ankle and said it was his fault, poor guy.
玛丽﹕不错。她一脚踢在舞伴脚踝上，说都是他不好。她舞伴真可怜。
janine: well they're not going to be dancing together for much longer if that's how she behaves.
雅尼纳﹕假如康奇塔继续这样，不多久他们就不会一起跳舞了。
康奇塔见自己没有获奖，大发脾气﹕she had a hissy fit。fit作名词，指疾病或强烈感情的「发作」，例如﹕(1) he fell to the floor in an epileptic fit（他癫痫症发作，倒在地上）。(2) she wept in a fit of remorse（她十分懊悔，哭了起来）。to have/throw a fit则是「勃然大怒」的意思，和to have/throw a hissy fit没有什么分别，例如﹕he threw a (hissy) fit when he found out what had been done to his computer（他发觉计算机给弄成那个样子，勃然大怒）。to have/throw a hissy fit是较通俗的说法，多用于口头。
hiss作动词，指「发出嘶嘶声」，例如﹕the cat, driven into a corner, turned and hissed at the children（那只猫被赶进角落，转身向孩子发出嘶嘶声）。hiss这种声音，往往表示不满，所以「发出嘘声」也可说to hiss，例如﹕the crowd booed and hissed at the chief executive when he appeared（行政长官一现身，人群就嘘声四起）。hissy fit的hissy，当然是取这「不满」、「愤怒」的意思。
康奇塔有什么不如意，总是怪责人家﹕she always blames somebody else。留意blame解作「怪责」，是及物动词（transitive verb），其后须有受词（object）；不过，要说「某人应受责备」或「是某人的错」，却须说somebody is to blame，不可说somebody is blamed或somebody is to be blamed。请比较以下两句﹕(1) i blamed myself for the accident（我为这意外事故自责）。(2) i was to blame for the accident（发生这意外事故，是我的错）。
