名人教英文：「掂o架啦 !」
因为历史因由，香港人日常用语时时中英夹杂，包括一句「xx系最top」。这个 top 字，既短且浅，解「顶尖」，亦即最好、最叻、最巴闭。
she is the top student in the class. 她是班中最顶尖的学生。
下面这一句，看起来一样很浅白﹕
don't worry. we're on top of it. 别担心，我们在这上面。「在这上面」？英文一句 on top of it，另有意思，等于
． working on it ，在处理中。
． in control of it，于掌握控制中。
． fully informed about it，知道最新情况。
也即是说，on top of it 的广东话对口单位，几似「掂o架啦」、「得o架啦」。
don't worry. we're on top of it. we'll meet the deadline. 别担心。我们在做功夫（掂o架啦），会在限期前做好。
let's stay on top of this. 我们要一直掌握此事，知道最新发展。
the political leader fails to be on top of issues. 那政治领袖未能掌握、处理众多议题。
要小心的是，on top of that，又是另一回事了。这个 that，是指之前、刚刚说了的事物。
on top of that = including that, in addition to that，除了（刚）已说的，还有……。
．that's a calculating guy. on top of that, he is fairly vicious too. 那是个工于心计的人。除此之外，其人亦颇为恶毒。
．on top of a good salary, we also offer perks. 除了不错的薪金，我们还提供福利津贴。
