go crazy 和 go nuts 都是“发疯，抓狂，欣喜若狂”的意思，后来在俚语中引申为“傻瓜，怪人，疯子”，这就是为什么 crazy 可以用 nuts 代换，但要注意，此处的 nuts 后面一定要加 s。另外，还有两个短语也有同样的意思，那就是 go bananas 和 go berserk。
crazy 除了是“发疯，抓狂”的意思之外，还有“很酷、很少见”的意思。例如，如果一个金发碧眼的外国人操着一口流利的汉语，却不会说半句英文，英文就会用 crazy 来形容这个外国人。所以下次如果有人说 (someone) is crazy。说话者并不一定表示他所指的人疯了，而可能是那个人的行为举止很酷、很少见的意思。
