1. 英国有一句谚语说：what soberness conceals, drunkenness reveals.（清醒时藏在心里的话，醉酒时说出来）。清朝王有光在《吴下谚联》中也说：言语之间，「有非礼者，有忌讳者，有应藏拙者，酒后皆能道出」。汉语有「酒汉口里说真话」、「酒后吐真言」、「醉发醒时言」等谚语，这里多录几句英国谚语供读者参考：
in wine there is truth. （酒中有真相。）
wine in, truth out. （三杯下肚，真话出口。）
out of the mouths of babies and drunks comes the truth. （稚子与酒徒，口中无虚语。）
truth lies at the bottom of a decanter. （酒瓶空，真相露。）
