89. 嘴唇做礼拜
「口惠而实不至」，英文则称为lip-service。
按lip-service一词源自十七世纪，本来是指那些上教堂做礼拜（attend service）的人，祈祷时只是嘴唇（lips）微动，机械似地背诵祷文，完全不思考祷文含义。后来，人们就用lip-service一词来说毫无诚意的口惠，往往和pay这个动词连用，例如：enchanted by the business opportunities the communists promise them, the western countries only pay lip-service to the cause of democracy in china（西方国家被共产党答应给他们的做生意机会迷住了，只是口头上支持中国民主运动）。
