33. 筑于沙上
「筑城者，先厚其基而后求其高。」《盐铁论·未通》里的这句话，道理至为明白。无论做什么，基础打不好，结果恐怕都是徒劳。英文成语build on (the) sand（建筑在沙上），意思就是没有稳固基础，努力随时会白费。
build on (the) sand一语出自《圣经·马太福音》第八章所载耶稣的一番话：「听了我这番话而不实行的人，就像一个傻瓜把房子筑在沙上（a foolish man who built his house upon the sand）。一经雨打、水淹、风吹，房子就塌了。」现在，人们就用build on (the) sand这成语来说没有稳固基础、不耐久的事情，例如：their so-called love is built on the sand of lust. it cannot last. （他们的所谓爱情只是建筑在性欲的沙上，不可能持久的。）
