A blind date ( 盲目约会 )
A blind date 是指「盲人与盲人的约会」吗？其实 blind 在这成语中，是指「盲目」的意思，而 A blind date 是指与素未谋面的人约会，一般也是由第三者安排的，亦即我们所说的「相睇」。
A blind date 很多时也由父母安排，例如： “ Mary’s parents arranged a blind date for her daughter because they do not want her to be the shelf “ ( 由于 Mary 的父母不想她嫁不出去，故此替她安排了跟一个不认识的人约会。 )
