信件蜂拥而来!
Lee:Look at all this mail I got today. When an event occurs, it occurs with great intensity! Here’s a letter from Patricia.
李：你瞧我今天收到那么多信件.要么不来，一来便都来 了 .这封是柏特丽莎的来信.
Ben:I didn’t think you were friends anymore.
班：我以为你们的友情已经中断.
Lee:I decided to forget what happened in the past. It’s about time I got a letter from her! She hasn’t written to me since she left for Paris last year. If someone is not in sight, he/she is forgotten.
李：我想过去的事就让它过去吧.我也该收到她的来信了 .她去 年去了巴黎后一直没给我写信.真可谓眼不见，心不想.
Ben： She used to tell me constantly how much she valued our friendship but she was never there when I needed her. Actions are more meaningful than words.
班：她过去常对我说她十分珍惜我们的友谊，可是每当我要 她帮忙时，她却没了人影.行动胜于空谈.
Lee:Once I let her borrow my car for an hour and she used it all day! If you give her a little of something, she’ll try to take a lot more.
李：有一次我答应把车借她用一个小时，结果她却用了一整 天.她这人很会得寸进尺.
Ben： So, what does her letter say?
班：那么，她来信说了些什么？
Lee:She says she ate snails for the first time! Well, I suppose one must adopt the habits of the local people. She says that they were delicious.
李：她说她头一次吃了蜗牛.是啊，我想这叫入国问禁，人 乡随俗.她说蜗牛的味道好极了.
Ben： There’s no explanation for people’s likes and dislikes.
班:人各有所好嘛.
Lee:She also says that she fell in love with some guy who is living in England for a year. She's upset because he only writes to her once every two months! Interesting how she’s suffering the same thing she makes other people experience!
李：她还说她爱上了一位已在英国呆了一年的小伙子?她很 不安，因为他每隔两个月才给她写一封信.真有意思，她 曾让别人遭遇的亊情这下可轮到她自己的头上了.
