活动目的：复习英语单词，增加英语学习情趣
适用对象：初学者或初级学习者
活动时间：10分钟左右
材料或工具：黑板、投影、白纸、笔
（一）活动过程
1、教师收集一些较长的单词，以便学生们可以用长单词的字母造出更多的新单词，如dictionary，afternoon等，并事先用这些单词中的字母试着造出新的单词。例如，利用afternoon一词的所有字母可造出下列单词：a，after，are，an，at，ear，eat，far，foot，for，front，near，no，nor，not，noon，of，often，on，one，or，ten，fan，tea，to，too，fat，ant，tar，fore等。
2、教师口头念出或利用投影等展示下面一段文字：
A dictionary is full of words. There may be thousands of words in it. But here is the DICTIONARY. We will have to find more than 40 words without opening it. How can we? Let’s do it together.
然后在黑板上写出dictionary一词，并且和学生们一起用这个词中的字母拼出新的单词（开始几个单词由教师带头拼出，后面由学生举手拼词）。
3、活动。教师给出一个长单词，学生再举手拼出新的单词，注意学生拼词所用的字母必须是长单词中的字母。学生每拼出一词，教师或主持人则要在黑板上写出该单词，同时给该学生所在的组记上一分。最后根据各组得分评出优胜组。
（二）有关说明
1、本游戏可采用分组活动方式，即把学生分成数组，每组4-6人，分发白纸一张。教师给出一个新的长单词，同组学生迅速用所给单词中的字母拼出新词，并将拼出的词写在白纸上，时间是三分钟。时间一到，各组立即上交白纸。最后统计各组拼出的词数，拼词最多的小组获胜。
2、本游戏还可采用个人拼词方式。
