6-8：so... that/as... as/too... to/how修饰单数可数名词
在第4项中，造了下列几个短语：
as good a student as...
as diligent a man as...
这些短语告诉我们一个重要的讯息，即：
下列四组短语之中，若置名词时，只能置可数名词单数。
so...that（如此……以至）
as...as（和……一样地）
too..to（太……而不）
how...（多么地……）
例：he is so good a boy that i like him.
（他是个这么好的男孩以至于我喜欢他。）
he is as handsome a man as peter (is).
（他是个像彼得一样英俊的人。）
he is too old a man to do it.
（他太老了，不能做这事。）
how great a man he is!
（他是个多么伟大的人啊！）
如果同学不太容易记这四组短语的话，发明了一串口令，帮你来记：
书呆于（so...that），阿西（as...as）和土土（too...to...）一块儿说一声“好”（how...）。
但同学会问，为什么不可写成下列的句子呢？
例：he is a so good student that i like him.(x)
he is an as handsome man as peter.(x)
he is a too old man to do it.(x)
how a great man he is!(x)
解答如下：
so（如此地），as（一样地），too（太），how（多么地）均为副词，因此原因之后应加形容词以供修饰，然后再加不定冠词（a或an）及单数名词。
此类“书呆子”、“阿西”和“土土”一块儿说声“好”四种结构中，不可置可数名词复数或不可数名词：
1.so...that
例：this is so good music that i love it.(x)
they are so good students that i like them.(x)
但使用such...that时则可置任何名词。
例：this is such good music that i love it.(o)
they are such good students that i like them.(o)
he is such a good student that i like him.(o)
2.as...as
例：this is as good music as that.(x)
they are as good students as those.(x)
改正：this music is as good as that.(o)
these students are as good as those.(o)
3.too...to
例：this is too difficult work to do.(x)
they are too difficult problems to handle.(x)
改正：this work is too difficult to do.(o)
=this is too difficult a job to do.(o)
these problems are too difficult to handle.(o)
（这些问题困难得无法处理。）
4.how
例：how good music it is!(x)
how good students they are!(x)
但what之后则可接任何名词。
例：what good music it is!(o)
what good students they are!(o)
what a good student he is!(o)
