非谓语动词
1-10: prove+to be
prove可做及物动词，表“证明”，之后用名词或名词从句做宾语。也可以做不完全不及物动词，表“显示”，“竟然是”，之后用to be+n．／adj．做主语补语。
1．prove做及物动词，表“证明”：
例：the investigation proved his guilt.
（调查证明了他有罪。）
the investigation proved that he was guilty.
（调查证明他有罪。）
2.prove做不完全不及物动词，表“显示，竟然是”
例：what he said proved to be true.
（他的话显示是真的。）
the report proved to be false.
＝ the report turned out be false.
（这份报告竟然是错的。）
注意
prove或turn out之后的to be亦可省略，故上列例句亦可改写为：
the report (proved false./turned out false.)
