5-12：wish的用法
1.wish之后接that从句时，一定要使用虚拟语气。若与现在事实相反，要用过去时；若与过去事实相反，则要用过去完成时。换言之that从句中的时态绝无现在时。
例：i wish (that) he is here.(x)
i wish he were here.(o0
= it is a pity that he is not here.
（我真希望他现在就在这里。——但遗憾的是，他并不在这里。）
i wish he had been here.(o)
= it is a pity that he was not here.
（我真希望他当时就在这里。——但遗憾的是，他并不在这里。）
2.i wish (that)... 希望……
= i would rather (that)...
= would that....
例：i wish (that) i had learned english harder.
= i would rather(that) i had learned english harder.
= would that i had learned english harder.
（真希望我当时能更用心地学英语。）
注意
would rather之后本有动词wish，但在本结构中予以省略。
例：i would rather wish he were here.
= i would rather he were here.
（真希望他现在就在这里。）
注意
使用would that结构时，亦可被o that代替。但that通常不予省略，且句尾用惊叹号“！”。
例：would that i had done it.
o that i had done it!
惟此类结构较为罕见，同学应避免使用。
