副词
2-9：副词应尽量靠近被修饰的动词
句中若含有两组以上的动词（包括由动词变成的分词及动名词），副词应尽量靠近被修饰的动词，以免造成句意的混淆。
例：yesterday he mentioned seeing her.
he mentioned seeing her yesterday.
（他昨天提到曾经见到她。）
理由：yesterday所放的位置不同，造成不同的句意。
例：you should handle the question with care that he raised yesterday.（劣）
（你应用昨天他提出来的谨慎方案来处理这个问题。）
理由：本来with care（以谨慎的态度）是副词，明确修饰动词handle。形容词从句that he raised yesterday本应修饰the question但却因置于名词care之后，造成句意的偏差。
改正：you should handle with care the question that he raised yesterday.
（你应该小心处理他昨天提出的问题。）
