3-11：no more than+数词
no less than+数词
not more than+数词
not less than+数词
1．以上词组，均为修饰数词的副词短语，句型如下
(1)no more than+数词+n 仅仅
= only+数词+n
例：it is no more than ten minutes' walk from here.
（从这儿走路只需要10分钟路程。）
(2)no less than+数词+n 刚好，多达
= as many as+数词+n
例：it is no less than ten minutes' walk from here.
（从这儿走路刚好要10分钟路程。）
(3)not more than+数词+n. 最多不超过
= as most+数词+n
例:i'll stay here not more than three days.
（我将待在这里最多不超过三天。）
(4)not less than+数词+n 至少
= at least+数词+n
例：i'll stay here not less than three days.
（我将待在这里至少三天。）
2.at most/at best的用法比较
(1)at most+数词 最多不超过
= not more than
例：he is at most ten years old.
（他最多只有10岁。）
(2)at best 充其量只不过是
= nothing but
例：he is at best a student.
（他只不过是个学生。）
= he is nothing but a student.
= he is but a student.
= he is only a student.
3.much more... 更不用说……
例：she can speak french, much more english.
（她会说法语，更不用说英语了。）
此类用法有“肯定”与“否定”之别。
(1)肯定句
she can speak french, not to mention writing it.
she can speak french, not to speak of writing it.
she can speak french, to say nothing of writing it.
she can speak french, let alone write it.
she can speak french, much more write it.
she can speak french, still more write it.
（她会说法语，更不用说写法语了。）
注意
not to mention, not to speak of, to say nothing of之后接名词或动名词为其宾语。但let alone, much more及still more则有并列连词的意味，连接并列的词类。本句中sge can speak french...中的speak为原形动词，故let alone, much more, still more之后接原形动词。
例：you have a right to your property, (let alone/much more/still more) to your ideas.
（你对于自己的财产有权利，更不用说对于你的构想了。)
i enjoy dancing, (let alone/much more/still more) listening to music.
（我喜欢跳舞，更不用说听音乐了。）
(2)否定句
she cannot speak french, not to mention writing it.
she cannot speak french, not to speak of writing it.
she cannot speak french, to say nothing of writing it.
she cannot speak french, let alone write it.
she cannot speak french, much more write it.
she cannot speak french, still more write it.
（她不会说法语，更不用说写法语了。）
注意
由此得知not to mention, not to speak of, to say nothing of, let alone可用于肯定句、否定句中。 much more, still more只用于肯定句。much less, still less只用于否定
