★依使用目的分:陈述句、疑问句、祈使句、感叹句。
1.英语句子可以按其结构分为三种类型:
例子：(简单句)
Mr. Green teaches us English.
格林先生教我们英语。
(对等句)
Mary is singing and Betty is dancing.
玛丽在唱歌，贝蒂在跳舞。
(复合句)
When he was young, he liked to try out new ideas.
他年轻时喜欢尝试新的想法。
2.按照句子使用目的，句子可分为:
例子：
(陈述句)
That is a nice picture.
那是一张漂亮的图画。
(疑问句)
Is that a cat?
那是一只猫吗?
(祈使句)
Open the door, please.
请开门。
(感叹句)
What a beautiful girl she is
她是一个多么漂亮的女孩呀!
