1.引起某些从句的as:
除了引起表示原因、时间、比较的状语从句外，它还可引起从句表示下面意思：
l）根据…
as i remember, she was working in a hospital at that time.
根据我的记忆，她那时在一家医院工作。
there is much room for improvement in our work, as i see it.
据我看我们的工作还大有改进余地。
2）正像（她）:
as you know, i am not much at letter writing．
正像你知道的，我不太会写信。
shelley, as we had seen, had met her through her uncle .
正如我们前面看到的，雪莱是通过她叔叔认识她的。
3）像，照：
i did as she told me.
我照她的话做了。
he came early, as he had been asked．
他照我们要求的那样来得很早。
4）引起表语从句）还是……样子：
the house looks just as it did when lu xun lived in it.
这房子还是鲁迅当年在那儿住时的那个样子。
things are not always as they appear?
事情不一定总是它们表现出来那个样子。
另外，as 还可引起成语型的连词
as far as i was concerned, it was over.

2.引起定语、宾语或表语从句的连词：
l) that (没有特殊意思):
all this proves that we are right．
这一切证明我们是对的。（宾语从句）
it's plain that he doesn t want to come．
很清楚他不想来。（主语从句）
your trouble is that you are careless．
你的问题是你太粗心大意。（表语从句）
i've got a feeling that were going to win．
我感到我们会赛赢。（同位语从句）
2) whether (if）是否：
i don't know whether (if) you like the idea.
不知你是否赞成这个想法。（宾语从句）
the point is whether we should recommend him.
问题是我们应否推荐他。（表语从句）
