1. among:
1) 在……中间：
The town lies among the mountains．
这座市镇位于群山之中。
There was discontent among workers.
工人中间有小满情绪。
Divide the cake among the four of you．
这块蛋糕你们四个人分。
2）是……中间的一（几）个：
He was among the first to arrive．
他是第一批来的人。
Shelley is among the world’s greatest poets.

3）若干人）相互间：
The members were divided among themselves．
成员间意见有分歧。

1) 在……周围，环绕：

2) 在……范围内：
