6.句子成分(sentence parts)
句子主要有下面这些成分：
1.主语(subject)——这是绝大多数句子都有的：
this book belongs to me．
这本书是我的。
a girl in blue opened the door.
一个穿蓝衣服的姑娘把门打开。
2.谓语(predicate)——说明址语的动作或状态：
the boy is swimming．
男孩在游泳。（表示动作）
the girl is very clever．
那女孩很聪明。（表示状态）
谓语中表示主语状态等的词称为表语，如上面中的dever。
3.宾语(object)——表示行为的对象或结果：
she speaks good english．
她英文讲得很好。（行为对象）
she wrote a poem．
她写了一首诗。（行为结果）
4.状语(adverbial )——修饰动词、形容词或副词：
everybody is working hard．
大家都很努力。（修饰动词）
it's terribly cold today．
今天冷得要命。（修饰形容词）
thank you very much．
非常感谢。（修饰副词）
5.定语(attribute)——修饰名词：
we bought a colour tv．
我们买了一台彩色电视。
whose dictionary is this?
这是谁的字典？
此外还有一些成分只出现在少数句子中。
1.同位语(appositive)——表示它前面的词指谁，指什么：
the is helen, my consin．
这是我的表妹海伦。
the home has five rooms, a sittingroom, three bedrooms and a kitchen．
这所房子有五个房间，一间客厅，三间卧室和一间厨房。
2.插入语(parenthesis)——插在句中或句末的词：
it'll be a fine day tomorrow, i hope．
希望明天能天晴。
3.感叹语(exclamation)——表示说话时的情绪：
godness, you gave me a start!
我的天，你吓我一跳！
oh, so you're back!
啊，你回来了。
4.呼语(direct address)——对对方的称呼:
sit down, children!
孩子们坐下。
good morning, miss green!
