日常生活职场英语日记第44篇：我的高中情人(双语)
i went to a little burger place for lunch today. while i was eating, i saw someone who looked really familiar at the table across from me. at first, i recognized sure who it was and then i recognized him. it was jone, my old high school sweetheart, i haven't seen him in years. he looks so different!
今天中午我去一家小型汉堡店吃午餐，吃着吃着，发现桌子对面那个人很面熟。一开始我还不确定是谁，但很快就认出他了，原来是我高中时的恋人约翰。我好多年没见到他了，他的变化真大!
he's starting to go a little bit bald and he's much heavier than he used to be. he saw me too and said hello. it was a surprise for both of us.
他不仅头发微秃，也比过去胖很多。他也看到我了，和我打招呼。突然遇上，我们两个都很惊讶。
he told me he works for an insurance company, he has a 4-year-old daughter and he was marriedfor 6 years, but he just recently separated from his wife. he told me i look beautiful and said he wondered from time to time how i am doing. i told him i am doing great.
他告诉我现在在一家保险公司工作，结婚6年了，有个4岁大的女儿，不过最近和老婆分居了。他说我看起来很美，又说他不时会想知道我过得好不好。我告诉他我过得很好。
it was strange talking to him because i was so in love with him years ago and i was devastated when we broke up. i was heartbroken. i never thought i would get over him, but i know now that i am.
和他说话感觉怪怪的。我们多年前曾热恋过，分手也曾让我身心交瘁、悲痛不已。原本以为自己永远忘不了他，但现在我知道我走出来了。
