美语歧视其他国家人所用的单词：

发胶：
"hair gel" [jel] 或者 "styling gel"。这两都是很地道的美语说法。我个人喜欢说 hair gel。
i use hair gel to keep my hair in place 我用发胶固定我的头发。
hair gel is bad for your hair 对你头发不好。
注意：gel 是 "胶体；凝胶"，不是 wax/cream。

爱上了/迷住了：
英语里有一个字叫 “smitten"，意思是 “迷住”
eg: he was so smitten by the view he cried 他被那景色迷住了，他都哭了。
同时也是 “爱上”的意思
eg: she is smitten by her boyfriend 她爱上她的男朋友了。
意思也是 "crush”：she has a crush on damon, she is smitten by him。
地道点的调查/确认：
"we have checked it" - 有这样写过邮件吗？更地道的是：we have checked. 不要加 it。
"please check it" - 不要加 it. please check。
i have checked. 查/确认什么：i have checked the email / paper / bag。
跟谁确认过了i have checked with tom / her / the cleaner / the boss。
存钱：
大家都知道 save money 吧？有种简单，常用的口语说法：“save up”，这种说法可以省略掉money。
比如：i need to save up 我需要存钱。
she needs to save up to buy a house 她需要存钱买房。
i’m saving up to buy a car 我在存钱买车。
what are you saving up for? 你在存钱买什么东西
