伊朗外交官：德黑兰计划与巴格达大力扩展军事经济联系(Iranian Diplomat: Tehran Plans to "Greatly" Expand Military, Economic Ties With Baghdad)

伊朗驻伊拉克大使说，德黑兰计划大力扩展与巴格达的军事和经济联系。哈桑.齐米.库米在接受纽约时报采访时说，伊朗愿意为伊拉克部队进行的“安全战”提供训练、装备、以及咨询。他还说，德黑兰愿意为伊拉克重建承担重要责任。

库米表示，伊朗不久将在伊拉克首都开设一家银行。纽约时报引述伊拉克一位官员的话说，伊朗已经得到开设新银行的许可，这将是在伊拉克开设的第一家外国借贷银行。

华盛顿指责德黑兰试图干涉伊拉克局势，并授权美国军队对于那些涉嫌从事敌对活动的伊朗人采取行动。

Iran's ambassador to Iraq says Tehran plans to greatly expand its military and economic ties with Baghdad. In an interview with "The New York Times" newspaper, Hassan Kazemi Qomi says Iran is prepared to train, equip and advise Iraqi forces for "the security fight". He also says Tehran is ready to assume major responsibility for the reconstruction of Iraq.

Qomi says Iran will soon open a bank in the Iraqi capital. The paper quotes an Iraqi official as saying Iran had received a license to open the new bank, which would be the first foreign-owned lender in Iraq.

Washington has accused Tehran of meddling in Iraqi affairs, and has authorized U.S. forces to take action against Iranians engaging in activities deemed to be hostile.

国际刑事法庭定于星期一宣布一名前刚果武装领导人是否会因战争罪行而接受审判。检方指控托马斯.卢班加在刚果民主共和国内战期间为他所在党派的武装分支招募成千上万儿童当兵。

卢班加的律师否认有关指控，并表示卢班加为结束战争而作出了努力。

如果法庭认为有足够的证据审判卢班加，这将是国际刑事法庭2002年开始运作以来的第一起审判。这也将是第一起有人因招募儿童兵而被起诉的案件。

The International Criminal Court (I.C.C.) is scheduled to announce Monday if a former Congolese militia leader will face trial on war crimes charges. Prosecutors accuse Thomas Lubanga of recruiting thousands of children to fight for the armed wing of his party during the Democratic Republic of Congo's civil war.

Lubanga's lawyers have denied the charges, saying he worked to end the war.

If the court finds there is enough evidence against Lubanga to warrant a full trial it would be the first at the I.C.C. since it started work in 2002. It would also be the first prosecution for charges related to recruiting child soldiers.
