据现场民警介绍，起火地点为兰考人袁厉害家，多名儿童在火灾中伤亡。
据了解，袁厉害多年来一直在兰考县人民医院门口摆摊卖东西，以收养弃婴和孤儿出名，其安置孤儿和弃婴的地方紧邻兰考县卫生局和兰考县人民医院。
