break ranks
分道扬镳
士兵列队时，横排称为rank，直排称为file。所以rank and file常用来代表「士兵行列」（不包括军官），也可以用来 指一个组织（尤其是工会）中的「基层人员」。复数的ranks 也可用来表示「士兵行列」。break ranks原意是一批士兵分 散开来，弓|申为「分道扬镳」。若要表示「和谁」分道扬镳， 则在break ranks后面加上with。
