macho是西班牙文，相当于male (男性）。另有一个来 自西班牙文的英文字machismo (大男人主义），暗示那种 「锻炼肌肉、好勇斗狠、指使女人」等等所谓「男性气槪」的 价値观。macho man就是信奉这种生活态度的男性。
