fat cat是个美国俚语，指的是那种因为有钱有势而摆出 一副懒洋洋、自鸣得意状的阔佬。在选举中，则是指那些捐 大笔政治献金、拉拢政治人物的富商。以「肥猫」（fat cat)来 形容这种人，相当传神。
