the cutting edge是刀子用来切割的锋刃，是最尖锐、最 锋利的部分，引申为「尖端」之意，常用在科技的范畴。例 如：on the cutting edge of science就是「在科学的最尖端」如果写成复合字cutting-edge，则是作形容词用，例如cutting-edge technology 就是「尖端科技」
