I'm currently in wedding planning mode and picking the cake is one of the most exciting parts. So, I'm insanely jealous that Prince William and Kate Middleton have picked two cakes. They're having a his and her cake and they both sound pretty marvelous.
There was no fighting over wedding cakes for Prince William and Kate Middleton. The happy couple had the opportunity to choose two wedding cakes, one for him and one for her. Now I'm wondering if guests will have to choose between the two or if they'll be served a slice of each!
Prince William chose a chocolate biscuit cake that will be made by biscuit-maker McVitie's, using a secret royal recipe. The ingredients include 1,700 crushed Rich Tea biscuits and nearly 40lb of dark chocolate. Whoa!
And Kate Middleton has chosen a fruit cake. But don't worry- it's not the typical fruit cake you see people hating on over the holidays in the United States. The cake will be made by Fiona Cairns and is sure to be absolutely gorgeous. It's said It's set to be decorated with cream and white icing with a floral theme. Cairns was chosen "for her creative style and beautifully crafted handmade cakes using traditional British ingredients."

Something tells me both McVitie's and Fiona Cairns are going to have a whole lot of business in their future. Who wouldn't want a wedding cake that resembles the Royal Wedding cake? And if Prince William and Kate Middleton like the cakes then they must be amazing.
Which cake do you think you'd prefer?
