The royal couple saw a double-feature of Bridesmaids and Harry Potter on a recent, rainy day.
So, guess what: even famous, rich royals enjoy seeing films about normal people and their not-so-glamorous, normal problems!
It must have been a typical, rainy English day last Saturday, as it seems Prince William and Kate Middleton spent it at the movies! The couple saw the American film Bridesmaids, (which is an awesome movie, by the way.) After the film, we bet Kate really wished she'd had thought of asking Wilson Phillips to play at her own wedding; but we're sure she then quickly realized that that move probably fell outside British Royal custom. A Royal Expert's Take On Prince Wiliam and Kate Middleton
And it must have been one of those typical raining English days, where the precipitation keeps coming, because the prince and princess followed Bridesmaids with another movie—a British flick this time—Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 2.
According to US Weekly, Kate didn't wear anything fancy to the theater, which is a good thing, because floor-length gowns would no doubt get gummied up on the sticky floors: "Kate 'was dressed casually, in jeans and a cardigan,' an insider said. 'They each had drinks, but shared a bag of popcorn.'"
US also reports that Kate has been dying to see Bridesmaids for some time now, but had before been a little busy with, um, her own wedding. At BAFTA in Hollywood earlier this month, Bridesmaids "director Paul Feig joked with Kate that his super-raunchy film could've given any bride-to-be cold feet." Is Duchess Kate Middleton Too Skinny To Have A Baby Right Now?
"We were joking that it was a good thing she didn't see Bridesmaids before she got married, or she might have been a runaway bride!" Delany, 55, told US. "Although she said she wanted to see it!"
Sounds like a fun time, right? We wish we could bump into Prince William and Kate at our local cineplex.
