When couples fall in love, often their tastes in fashion become similar, but young Chinese lovers have taken the trend to a whole new level.
The hottest fashion movement in China at the moment is for couples to morph into one by sporting the same T-shirts wherever they go.
And from the streets of Shanghai to Beijing, couples have been photographed showing off their quirky tops.
The T-shirts are printed with Chinese cartoon characters and come in his and hers for the ultimate display of love.
Photographer Gillian Bolsover made it her duty to capture the couples in corresponding T-shirts and hoodies and ask them about the trend.
One couple, Li Yang and Zhou Wanting, have been in a relationship for two years and told Bolsover that they always co-ordinate their outfits.
Although they live in different cities over 1,000 miles apart, Li said: ‘We always wear the same clothing when we are together.’
Meanwhile lovers Tang Jingzhou and Qian Weisi said: ‘This is the way we show our love. We don’t care what others think.’
And couple Eric Zhang and Yao Kaiyan, who have dated for over five years, are also inspired by the trend.
Zhang said his girlfriend chooses their paired wardrobe and added: ‘I listen to her, she is my queen.’
