1. A woman can apply to some women's business Enterprises for a loan or a grant to help finance the start up of her business. These are usually fairly local business initiatives that can be applied for with varying terms of repayment. This is one way women get help to start a small business.
2. In some cases, depending on the type of business enterprise she wishes to start there may be grant money available from the government(s).
3. Some woman can be fortunate enough to have a rich uncle who loves her or a rich father wishing to see his daughter succeed in business or a spouse willing to help out.
4. Another idea is to form a partnership of like minded people or maybe even just one other person; however,
this isn't always the best idea because often times people don't always agree and then problems can arise which can end up hurting the business. To be serious, partnerships should always be in writing.
5. If you have a good financial background, a good credit rating, can prepare a satisfactory business plan for your banker you may be able to get the necessary funds to finance your business. Often banks are reluctant to do this however. If you own property they may want to take a mortgage on that to protect themselves in case you don't repay your loan. Having said that, women get help to start a small business by getting a bank loan if they meet all the bank requirements.
Be sure to do your due diligence no matter what kind of business you have in mind. In my opinion, you may as well make as much money as you can, compared to the amount of up front money you require, the length of time it will take you to get a return on your investment (ROI), the hours you have to spend to make that money, the distance you have to travel to get to your business, the time away from your family or your spouse in order to make your business be successful. Women get help to start a small business in many ways!
