It's a double dose of joy for Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon. The pop star parents gave birth to a pair of healthy twins this weekend, with a girl weighing 5 pounds 3 ounces and a boy weighing 5 pounds 6 ounces.
Carey, 42, gave birth at an undisclosed hospital in Los Angeles on Saturday, confirmed the singer's rep Cindi Berger confirmed.
Cannon reportedly drove his wife to the hospital in their Rolls-Royce while playing her popular song 'We Belong Together,' and then apparently went to the wrong hospital ward before being directed by nurses to the maternity center.
"It was right out of an 'I Love Lucy' skit," Berger said.
Saturday also just happened to be Carey and Cannon's fourth anniversay, a fact that the new dad just couldn't help but be thankful for.
"My wife just gave me the most incredible anniversary gift ever in life!," Cannon tweeted soon after the birth. "I won't ever be able to top this!"
The babies are still unnamed, but Papa Nick says fans don't have to worry that they will be some odd-ball celebrity names.
"They won't be crazy names like Carburetor or something," he said.
