This is a whole different kind of "sexting."
According to a new study, today's youth may be more addicted to the internet than we thought. A Retrevo Gadgetology study has found, among other things, that 11% of people under 25 check social media updates during sex.
The study, conducted by the website Retrevo.com, asked social media users a barrage of questions regarding their internet usage, and attempted to get a closer look at "when, where, and how much time they spend on sites and services like FaceBook and Twitter."
The findings show that, while most of us like our social media sites perhaps a little too much, a growing number are turning into full-blown addicts.

56% said they check Facebook at least once a day, and 18% of people under 25 said they couldn't go more than a couple hours without seeing who's poking who or what bizarre creature stumbled into their Farmville game.
But the most surprising statistics came from private moments. Nearly 50% of people under 25 said they regularly check electronic messages during a meal, 25% said they would Tweet on the toilet, and 11% would do it during sex.
Questions of physical practicality aside, who lets their partner check Facebook during sex? Has America's sex life gotten so bad that we need to distract ourselves with other people's inane status updates?
