Based upon the author's practical work and research data, the author discusses the characteristics and rules of user' demands of oceanographic information resources, and discusses the influence of network environment on users' demands. The university library has a lot of difficulties in effectively reorganizing various kinds of oceanographic information resources, such as the complicated distribution of the resources, the difficulties of collecting them, the non-standardization of the information service system, the shortage of complicated information service workers, and lack of efficient information-sharing mechanism.
